Freezer Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. olive oil
    1 large onion, chopped
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    3 lb. (7 to 9) fresh tomatoes, peeled and pureed
    3 (6 oz. each) cans tomato paste
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. dried basil
    1 Tbsp. dried oregano
    1/4 c. chopped parsley
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 c. water
Preparation
    In large saucepan, heat olive oil until hot.
    Add garlic and onion and cook until tender.
    Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer gently, uncovered, stirring occasionally, 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until thickness desired.
    Cool and package in meal size portions.
    Makes about 7 cups.
