Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. cornmeal
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. bacon drippings
    1/2 lb. Longhorn cheese, grated
    4 jalapeno peppers, grated
    2 eggs
    1 c. creamed corn
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
Preparation
    Sprinkle a small amount of cornmeal in bottom of pan and brown.
    Mix cornmeal, eggs, milk, corn and drippings together; pour half in pan.
    Sprinkle cheese over this.
    Add meat, onion and peppers.
    Pour on rest of batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
