Hurry-Up Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 medium potatoes, wash and pare
    melted shortening
    3/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Wash and pare 2 medium potatoes.
    Cut crosswise in 1/8-inch slices.
    Brush broiler rack with a little melted shortening and arrange potatoes on rack.
    Brush tops with more melted shortening. Sprinkle with 3/4 teaspoon salt.
    Broil until tender, 6 to 10 minutes.
    Makes 2 to 3 servings.
