Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    24 oz. pitted dates, cut in 2 or 3 pieces
    1 lb. candied cherries (whole)
    1 lb. candied pineapple slices (cut in 8 pieces)
    2 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. double-acting baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/2 to 2 lb. pecan halves
Preparation
    Mix dates, whole cherries and pineapple slices in large bowl. Combine flour, baking powder and salt and sift over fruits.
    Toss to coat.
