Summer Squash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion, diced
    4 to 6 yellow squash, sliced
    1/2 c. milk
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Cook onion and squash in small amount of water until tender. Remove from heat.
    Drain well.
    Mash with potato masher.
    Place in greased casserole.
    Cover with 1 cup grated American (or other) cheese and cracker crumbs.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 30 minutes.
