Grandma'S Chocolate Chip Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 c. flour
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Combine sugars, soda and flour.
    Cut in butter until particles are size of cornmeal.
    (Reserve 1/2 cup of this mixture for the topping.)
    Add vanilla and buttermilk to remaining mixture.
    Mix well.
    Pour into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Add nuts and chips to reserved mixture and sprinkle over batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
