French Cherry Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg whites
    1 c. sugar
    20 unsalted crackers, crushed
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. finely chopped nuts
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1/2 c. confectioners sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 pkg. Dream Whip
    1 can cherry pie filling
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until foamy.
    Gradually add sugar.
    Beat until stiff peaks form.
    Add crushed crackers, baking powder, vinegar, vanilla and nuts to egg white mixture.
    Spread into greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Set aside to cool.
    Combine cream cheese, confectioners sugar and vanilla. Prepare Dream Whip according to directions on package.
    Fold into cream cheese mixture.
    Spread over cooled egg white mixture. Spread cherry pie filling over cream cheese mixture.
    Chill 2 to 3 hours before serving.
