Maryann'S Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients

4 1/2 c. sugar
1 large can evaporated milk
3 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 lb. butter
3 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Mix sugar and milk; bring to a boil and continue boiling for 8 minutes.
Remove from heat; add remaining ingredients.
Beat with electric mixer until thick and creamy.
Add nuts if desired.
