Christmas Logs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 stick oleo
    1/2 lb. chopped dates
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 c light brown sugar
    2 c. Rice Krispies
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    coconut
    1 egg
Preparation
    Cook in a heavy skillet over low heat until dates are mushy. Remove from heat and add 1 egg, beaten with 1 cup light brown sugar.
    Put on heat and stir until bubbly; stir
    in 2 cups Rice Krispies and nuts.
    Also stir in vanilla.
