Hot Country Style Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. and 2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 c. milk
    1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt in large bowl.
    Cut in shortening with fork or pastry blender until mixture looks like coarse meal.
    Combine milk and lemon juice, then add to flour mixture.
    Stir only until dry ingredients are moistened.
    Turn dough onto floured surface and knead 3 or 4 times.
    Roll dough about 1/2-inch thick and cut out with dough or round cookie cutter.
    Place close together in greased baking sheet.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 10 minutes or until tops are golden.
    Brush with melted butter when done.
    Makes about 15 biscuits.
