Pepper Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. steak
1 onion
1/4 c. soy sauce
1/2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 or 2 bell peppers
2 cloves garlic
1/2 c. water
1 Tbsp. cornstarch (optional)
Preparation

Lightly brown chopped onion and garlic in oil.
Add steak and soy sauce.
Brown steak, then cover and simmer until steak is nearly done.
Add peppers and water.
Simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes or until peppers are cooked to desired stage.
Make a paste of cornstarch and water to thicken the broth, if desired. Salt and pepper to taste.
Serve over rice or noodles.
