Pulled Mints - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar (Dixie Crystal)
    1/3 stick butter (Land O Lakes)
    2/3 c. water
    4 drops mint flavoring
    2 drops coloring
Preparation
    Cook
    in heavy aluminum pot the sugar, butter and water to 275\u00b0
    on candy thermometer.
    Pour on buttered marbled slab to cool.
    When cool enough to handle, pick up and pull.
    After pulling
    a\tlittle, add flavoring and color.
    Continue to pull until candy
    gets harder to pull and has a dry look.
    Pull out in long rope and cut with shears.
    Do not stir
    while cooking.
