Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white sugar
    1 c. white Karo syrup
    1/2 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1 lb. raw peanuts
    3 or 4 Tbsp. butter
    2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Boil first four ingredients to hard boil stage.
    Pour peanuts in, also butter.
    Cook until golden brown, stirring constantly. Take off stove and add soda; mix.
    Pour immediately into 2 buttered cookie sheets.
    Spread as thin as possible.
