California Fresh Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 (12 oz.) boxes strawberries
    1 (3 oz.) strawberry Jell-O or 1 (3 oz.) strawberry Kool-Aid
    1 (9-inch) baked pie crust
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    whipped topping
Preparation
    To moisture-proof your pie crust, brush bottom with beaten egg before baking.
    Bake and set aside.
    Wash uncapped strawberries. Lay out on lots of paper towels to dry.
    Pat lightly and set aside to dry.
