Applesauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. peeled, sliced apples
    1/4 c. water
    1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Place fruit and water in a 1 1/2 to 2-quart casserole dish. Cover.
    Microwave at High for 5 to 9 1/2 minutes, stirring after half the time, until fruit starts to turn transparent.
    Stir in sugar.
    Let stand, covered, for 2 to 3 minutes.
    Stir before serving.
    Puree, if desired.
