Trammel'S Toffee - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 sticks real butter (not margarine)
1 c. firmly packed dark brown sugar
1 can Eagle Brand milk
1 bag semi-sweet morsels or white morsels
approximately 40 saltines
Preparation

Line a large jelly roll pan with foil.
Melt 1/2 stick butter and pour over foil.
Put saltines over butter.
Melt 2 sticks of butter in boiler, then add sugar.
Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally, over medium heat.
Boil for 2 minutes.
Remove from heat and let cool for a minute.
Add condensed milk, then pour over crackers.
Put in 425\u00b0 oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
It will darken and get bubbly.
Remove from oven and scatter morsels evenly over top.
When morsels are shiny, carefully spread over mixture with the back of a spoon.
Let cool and cut into small bite size pieces.
