Pie Crust - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. vegetable shortening or lard
    1/2 c. ice water
Preparation
    Mix flour and salt.
    Add shortening or lard in small pieces and use fork or pastry blender to make uniform crumbs.
    Add water, a tablespoon at a time, and mix until mixture forms a rough mass. Wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours before rolling out.
    I use lard for fruit pies and shortening for cream pies.
    Makes one double-crust pie.
    Serves 8.
