Nic-Nac Nutcracker Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg whites
    1 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 c. pecan pieces
    22 round buttery crackers, crumbled (Ritz)
    1 pt. whipping cream or Cool Whip
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until slightly stiff.
    Add sugar gradually, beating constantly.
    Add real vanilla; beat just to mix.
    Fold in nuts and cracker crumbs.
    Pour into well-greased pie plate and microwave for 4 1/2 to 5 minutes at High power.
    After pie is cooled, slather with whipped cream or Cool Whip.
    May be garnished with brown sugar, cinnamon and fruit slices if desired.
