Fruit Cocktail Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. self-rising flour
pinch of soda
1 (No. 303) can fruit cocktail
2 large eggs
1/2 c. (packed) light brown sugar
1 can coconut
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. evaporated milk
1/2 c. margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Sift 1 cup sugar, flour and soda into mixing bowl.
Add fruit cocktail and juice.
Add eggs; beat until mixed well.
Pour into greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch pan.
Sprinkle top with brown sugar and pecans.
Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Combine remaining sugar with remaining ingredients.
Boil for 5 minutes.
Pour over cake as soon as cake is removed from oven.
