Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. oatmeal
    1 1/2 c. hot water
    1 stick butter or margarine, melted
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. white sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
Preparation
    Mix oatmeal and water; let cool for 20 minutes.
    Cream butter and sugar; add oatmeal mixture.
    Mix dry ingredients and add to first mixture.
    Add eggs and vanilla.
    Bake for 30 minutes in greased 9 x 13-inch pan at 350\u00b0.
