Corn Meal Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. milk
    1/2 c. cornmeal
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 tsp. salt
    2 beaten eggs
    1 yeast cake or 1 pkg. dry yeast
    flour
Preparation
    Cook milk and cornmeal in double boiler or heavy pan until thick.
    Add sugar, shortening and salt.
    Cool until lukewarm.
    Add eggs and yeast.
    Add sifted flour to make a stiff batter; knead in additional flour.
    Put in greased bowl and let rise until doubled in size.
    Punch down and shape rolls.
    Put in greased pan and let rise again.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
