Busy Day Pot Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 lb. beef roast
    1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
    1 envelope dry onion soup mix
    3/4 c. water
Preparation
    Place meat in roasting pan.
    Mix remaining ingredients together.
    Pour over the roast.
    (Do not add salt.)
    Cover pan and bake in 325\u00b0 oven for about 3 hours.
    Check roast occasionally and add more water if needed.
    Baste every 30 minutes.
    The pan drippings make an excellent gravy.
    I serve the gravy with cornbread and mashed potatoes.
    If the gravy is too thin, add a little cornstarch or flour.
    If it is too thick, add some water.
