Potatoes And Ham Au Gratin - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. melted margarine
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. dry mustard
    2 1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    2 c. grated cheese, divided
    2 c. chopped, cooked ham
    2 Tbsp. chopped onion
    6 c. sliced, cooked potatoes
Preparation
    Combine margarine, flour and dry mustard; cook over low heat, stirring constantly until bubbly.
    Gradually add milk, stirring constantly.
    Cook until smooth and thick.
    Season sauce with salt and pepper.
    Add 1 1/2 cups cheese, stirring until melted.
    Stir in ham and onion.
    Alternate layers of potatoes and sauce in greased 2-quart baking dish.
    Bake for 45 minutes.
    Add remaining cheese and bake until cheese is melted.
    Serves 6 to 8.
