Hawaiian Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. crushed pineapple including juice
1 c. sugar
dash of salt
1 pkg. unflavored gelatin
1/4 c. boiling water
1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
mandarin oranges (garnish, optional)
Preparation

Combine pineapple, sugar and salt.
Cook for 10 minutes.
Let cool.
Mix unflavored gelatin to 1/4 cup boiling water until the texture is sugary.
Let cool.
Combine pineapple mixture and Cool Whip.
Cream the cheese.
Mix all ingredients together and chill. Top with mandarin oranges and serve.
