Fried Gar - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    gar
    beer
    2 c. cornmeal
    1 c. flour (self-rising)
    2 Tbsp. salt and pepper
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1/2 tsp. celery salt
Preparation
    Clean animal and cut up.
    Soak in salt water 3 hours, drain. Dip meat in melted butter, then in crushed cornflakes.
    Brown in hot fat or oil; reduce heat.
    Cook slowly 1 hour.
    Salt and pepper.
