Salmon Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can salmon or mackerel (large can)
    1 egg
    1/2 onion, diced
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Debone salmon; reserve liquid.
    Mix salmon, liquid and other ingredients.
    Add enough flour and cornmeal to make mixture dough-like.
    Fry in hot oil.
