Mock Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 stick oleo
    12 saltine crackers
Preparation
    Break crackers in half and place in bottom of unbaked pie shell.
    Mix rest of ingredients and bring to a boil.
    Pour over crackers. Cover with top crust.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes or until brown.
