Turtle Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (14 oz.) bag caramels
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 (18 1/4 oz.) pkg. German chocolate cake mix
2 c. chopped pecans
1 c. chocolate chips
Preparation

Day 1:
Put starter in a 1-gallon container and add 2 1/2 cups sugar and a 16-ounce can sliced peaches with juice.
Stir together, cover and let stand at room temperature.
(Do not refrigerate!!!)
Stir everyday.
Fruit may bubble up and the top pop off.
This is normal.
Keep covered.
