Ingredients

1/2 c. margarine
1 c. sugar
1 c. dates, chopped
pinch of salt
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. pecans
2 1/2 c. rice crispies
1 tsp. vanilla
flaked coconut
Preparation

In saucepan, add margarine, sugar, dates, salt and eggs. Bring to full boil and cook for 6 minutes, stirring often.
Remove from heat and add vanilla, rice crispies and pecans.
(Do not substitute pecans.)
Mix well; cool slightly and roll into balls, then roll balls in coconut.
