French Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. lukewarm water
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    4 c. sifted white flour
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in water.
    Add salt, butter and 2 cups of flour.
    Stir with spoon.
    Add 2 more cups of flour.
    Turn out and knead dough until smooth (about 6 to 8 minutes).
    Place in a buttered bowl and turn surface until coated with butter.
    Let rise until double in bulk (about 1 1/2 to 2 hours).
