Squash Puffs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. yellow squash (1 c. cooked)
    1 egg, beaten
    1/3 c. cornmeal
    1/3 c. all purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 medium onion, grated
Preparation
    Cook squash till tender and drain. Mash and measure 1 cup. Combine dry ingredients and mix well. Add squash, egg, and onion; stir. Drop by level teaspoonfuls into hot oil. Cook until golden brown, turning once. Yields 2 dozen.
