Yellow Party Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 c. milk
Lemon Filling
Seven-Minute Frosting

Preparation

In mixer bowl, cream together sugar and butter until light and fluffy (about 8 to 10 minutes at medium speed of electric mixer), scraping bowl frequently.
Add eggs and vanilla.
Beat at medium speed about 2 minutes or until mixture is light and fluffy. Scrape the bowl frequently.
