"Toad In The Hole" - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    round rump
    1 egg, beaten very lightly
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 pt. milk
    1 c. flour
Preparation
    Cut round rump into dices and make batter. Beat egg very lightly; stir into milk with salt. Pour gradually over flour, beating until light and smooth. Butter a 2-quart baking dish; put in the meat. Season with butter, pepper and salt. Pour in the batter. Bake in a moderate oven for 1 hour. Serve hot.
