Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. oil
    2 eggs
    1 c. boiling water
    1 c. bran
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 c. flour
    2 1/2 tsp. soda
    2 c. bran
    2 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over 1 cup bran and salt.
    Mix all ingredients together and put in a covered dish.
    Keep refrigerated; use as needed.
    Lasts up to 2 weeks.
    Add 1 cup dates, nuts or raisins, if desired.
    Bake in greased muffin tins or muffin cups for 20 minutes at 400\u00b0.
