Steak Pizzaiola Ala Bea - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. olive oil
    1/4 c. butter
    1 1/2 lb. top round
    1/2 lb. mushrooms
    1/2 large onion
    2 garlic cloves
    5 plum tomatoes
    1/2 c. parsley flakes (preferably Italian)
    1/2 tsp. oregano, salt and freshly ground pepper
    1 c. dry red wine
    1/2 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Slice mushrooms, onion and garlic; chop tomatoes.
    Trim meat and cut crosswise into very thin strips (3 x 1 1/2-inches).
    Heat oil and butter in heavy skillet.
    Brown meat on all sides, remove to platters.
    Saute mushrooms for 3 to 5 minutes.
    Place over meat.
    Saute onion and garlic in skillet.
    Add tomatoes.
    Stir in parsley and oregano.
    Season.
    Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes.
