Sauerkraut Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (No. 2 1/2) can sauerkraut
    1 c. chopped celery
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 medium size chopped green pepper
    1 c. grated carrots
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1 c. sugar
Preparation
    Cook vinegar and sugar until syrupy and pour boiling hot over ingredients slowly.
    Let stand 12 to 24 hours.
    Mix occasionally. Good with beef or pork.
