Beef Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. beef chuck
    2 marrow bones
    3 qt. cold water
    2 tsp. paprika
    4 large carrots
    4 parsley sprigs
    2 stalks celery
    1 fresh tomato
    1 onion
    2 cabbage leaves
    3 potatoes
    8 peppercorns
Preparation
    Place meat and bones in a large pot with water.
    Let come to a boil.
    Skim.
    Prepare vegetables by washing, peeling and chopping. Add seasoning and vegetables, except potatoes, and simmer for about 2 1/2 hours.
    Add whole potatoes and simmer for another hour.
