Blueberry Cake Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening (white solid)
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs, separated
2 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. milk
3 c. fresh blueberries
1 Tbsp. flour
confectioners sugar

Preparation

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.
Cream together shortening and 1 1/2 cups sugar in bowl until light and fluffy, using an electric mixer at medium speed.
Add egg yolks and vanilla; beat until light and fluffy.
