Quick Corn Light Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. self-rising meal
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. self-rising flour
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. buttermilk
    1 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients; add buttermilk.
    Grease loaf pan.
    Heat shortening until very hot.
    Add to batter.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Remove from oven and let cool at least 30 minutes in pan.
