Lemon Buttermilk Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 stick butter
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. lemon extract
    1 Tbsp. hot water
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream shortening, butter and sugar until all sugar grains disappear.
    Add 4 eggs, one at a time and beat well after each egg.
    Mix soda and hot water; add to batter.
    Add buttermilk with 1/2 teaspoon salt stirred in alternately with flour, beginning and ending with flour.
    Bake in greased tube pan at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
    Remove from pan immediately.
