Low-Fat Taco Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground turkey
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 bell pepper, chopped
    1 jalapeno pepper, diced
    2 cloves garlic, chopped
    1 c. taco sauce
    1 tsp. cumin
    2 Tbsp. chili powder
    1/2 c. water
    lo-fat taco chips
    2 c. kidney beans, drained
    1 head lettuce, shredded
    2 tomatoes, chopped
    1 small onion, diced
    1 bell pepper, diced
    6 oz. no-fat Cheddar, shredded
    fat-free sour cream
    taco sauce
Preparation
    Brown turkey with onion, peppers and garlic. Drain thoroughly. Add cumin and chili powder.
    Stir 3 to 4 minutes to blend flavors. Add water and 1 cup taco sauce.
    Simmer 10 to 12 minutes.
    Let each person assemble their own salad using the meat mixture and remaining ingredients, using the shredded Cheddar, sour cream, taco sauce and chips for toppings.
