Coffee Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1/2 c. hot coffee
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. raisins
1/4 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream together shortening and sugar.
Add egg; beat well.
Add coffee; mix well.
Add dry ingredients; blend well.
Stir in raisins and nuts.
Bake in 11 x 16-inch shallow pan (jelly roll pan) at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes.
While warm, glaze with icing made with 1 tablespoon hot coffee combined with 1/2 cup powdered sugar.
Cut when cool.
