Anise Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1/2 c. boiling water
    1 c. white corn syrup
    1 tsp. anise oil*
    1 tsp. red or green food coloring
Preparation
    Cook the first 3 ingredients to a hardball stage (275-300\u00b0). Remove from heat and stir in anise oil and food coloring. Pour into a greased pan. When almost cool, mark into squares with a sharp knife. You can also pull this like taffy and cut. Use granite or glass utensils for cooking.
