Icicle Pickle Slices - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. sliced cucumbers (medium size)
    2 red sweet peppers cut up
    1/3 c. salt
    8 medium onions, sliced
    3 cloves garlic
    3 c. white vinegar
    5 c. sugar
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    2 tsp. celery seed
    2 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Cover cucumbers and sweet peppers with ice water, use the 1/3 cup salt and let stand 3 hours.
    Drain thoroughly.
    Combine the remaining ingredients.
    Pour over the pickles and bring to a boil. Put in hot cans and process for sealing.
