Hamburger Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. lean ground beef
1 Tbsp. butter
1 c. diced onions
1 clove garlic, chopped
3/4 c. sliced carrots
1 c. sliced celery
1/2 c. diced green peppers
4 c. water with bouillon cubes (MBT)
1 c. tomatoes
10 oz. canned hominy
cabbage (if desired)
Preparation

Brown meat in butter in a 3-quart saucepan.
Add onions, garlic, carrots, celery and green peppers.
Simmer 10 minutes with the pan covered.
Add beef broth or water with bouillon cubes. Add chopped tomatoes and pepper.
Simmer soup on low heat for 35 minutes.
Add hominy.
Boil hamburger soup 10 minutes more.
