Forgotten Short Ribs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 lb. beef short ribs
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    2 Tbsp. molasses
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. liquid smoke
    1 Tbsp. minced onion
Preparation
    Sprinkle salt and pepper on all sides of meat and put in a 3-quart casserole.
    In a small pan, combine tomato sauce with molasses, vinegar, liquid smoke and onion; bring to a boil and simmer 5 minutes.
    Pour over ribs.
    Cover and bake in slow oven at 275\u00b0 for 3 to 4 hours or until very tender.
    Spoon off excess fat.
