Lyle'S Chili Con Carne - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1/2 lb. ground pork
    3 medium onions, chopped
    1/4 c. celery, chopped
    1 (No. 303) can kidney, red or chili beans
    2 (No. 303) cans tomatoes
    1 heaping Tbsp. chili powder per lb. meat
    8 oz. tomato sauce
    2 tsp. salt
    pinch of ground cumin (comino; use with caution)
    cayenne pepper to taste
Preparation
    Stir and brown off meat in skillet or open saucepan; drain off any fat or water that renders out.
    Add onions and celery to the meat and stir.
    Cook until the vegetables are clear.
    In a pot, add all the ingredients together; cover and cook over low heat, the slower, the better (1 to 1 1/2 hours).
    Perhaps it would be better for guests to add cayenne pepper to their taste when served. Serves about 8.
