Cornmeal Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. shortening
    1/2 c. cornmeal
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/4 c. flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Cut shortening into flour, 1/2 cup cornmeal, baking powder and salt until resembles crumbs.
    Stir in enough milk so dough cleans sides of bowl and makes a ball.
    Knead dough on lightly floured surface for 10 minutes.
    Roll to 1/2-inch thick.
    Cut out biscuits. Sprinkle extra cornmeal on cookie sheet.
    Place biscuits on cookie sheet; sprinkle more cornmeal on top.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
