Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 baked 9-inch pie shell or crumb crust
    1 qt. strawberries
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. granulated sugar
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 (8 oz.) container Cool Whip
Preparation
    Crush 1/2 of the strawberries with a fork.
    Stir in cornstarch, sugar and lemon juice.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring until mixture is clear and thickened.
    Cool.
    Cut the remaining strawberries in half.
    Fold in cooked mixture.
    Pour into pie crust.
    Refrigerate until well chilled.
    Garnish with whipped cream and serve.
