Melt-In-Your-Mouth Blueberry Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 eggs, separated
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 c. blueberries
Preparation

Beat egg whites until soft peaks form.
With same beaters, cream shortening with sugar, beat in egg yolks.
Beat well.
Sift dry ingredients together; add alternately with milk.
Add vanilla. Fold in beaten egg whites.
Dust blueberries with about a tablespoon of flour; stir into batter.
Spread in 8 or 9-inch square cake pan.
Sprinkle with a little sugar or cinnamon-sugar. Bake 35 to 40 minutes in preheated 350\u00b0 oven, until toothpick inserted into cake will come out clean.
